I know that it can be difficult choosing aids, equipment and home modifications when there is so much variety to choose from. I have a lot of experience in prescribing, finding and setting up equipment to meet many different needs. Although it is recommended that you seek specialist help, such as an occupational therapist, to ensure the equipment matches your needs and budget, I know that many of you may already have purchased an aid or equipment.

Knowing how equipment, aids and home modifications have helped people in the past will help you make choices based on their needs and experiences. I will also discuss what to consider when choosing an aid and ‘the risk’ factors that have been associated with it.
